The body has a marvelous capacity to heal itself.
Treating the body, mind, and spirit.
The CranioSacral system consists of the membranes and fluid that surround, protect and nourish the brain and spinal cord. Few structures have as much influence over the body's ability to function properly as the central nervous system.
By freeing the central nervous system to perform at its best, CranioSacral Therapy naturally eliminates pain and stress, strengthens your resistance to disease, and enhances your health.
CranioSacral therapy is most effective using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams - about the weight of a nickel. When a CranioSacral therapist places her hands on you, She is listening, with her hands, for movement and restrictions in your Cranial plates, CranioSacral fluid, spine, sacrum, fascia and soft tissues.
When restrictions are perceived and attended to with this simple method, the body begins to listen and attend to itself. Here, the restrictions are free to release and the body is engaged in it's own innate healing ability in a more effective way.
CranioSacral Therapy can be effective for all ages, from newborns to elders.
One Client reports: "I came to Karen not sure at all what I was getting myself into. I really had no idea what CranioSacral therapy was but I was willing to try anything for my jaw clenching and all the side effects that came along with jaw clenching. I spent about a 2 months clenching my jaw and had constant sore jaw and teeth and tension headaches. I was just about ready to go to the dentist and spend over 500 dollars on a mouth guard. I saw Karen twice at the beginning of January and I felt noticeably better. Within a week of the therapy I was not clenching at all and 4 months later I am still not clenching. Karen was wonderful and I am so thankful not to be struggling with this issue anymore. If it comes back in times of more stress I will definitely go back."
